Evidence-Based Strength & Conditioning

A well-designed strength & conditioning program will improve your mobility, build lean muscle, strengthen your joints and develop functional fitness.

To make that happen, I don’t use templates.  I don’t use cookie cutter programs.  I believe a coach should build a unique program for each individual.  Consequently, everything begins with your intake form.

I look at things like:

  •  How long have you been training?

  • What’s your genetic potential?

  • What are your goals?

  • What equipment do you have access to?

  • What’s your recovery capacity?

Nor should a program remain static.  Throughout your coaching, I asses your unique circumstances, your progress, and your strengths and weaknesses.  Based on that, I continually adjust your program.

A Focus on Nutrition & Lifestyle Skills

The challenge with dieting isn’t finding the right set of rules.  It’s practicing the right set of skills and daily habits. Thus we start with an assessment of your current diet and lifestyle skills.

Then based on your assessment, goals and interests, you begin building the skills and daily habits you need to produce lasting results.

Nutrition & lifestyle skills include things like:

  • Eating more whole foods

  • Eating the right amount of food for your goals

  • Learning how to manage your hunger

  • Maintaining a well-organized kitchen

  • And managing your sleep and stress

Have you struggled in the past to make lasting change?  Fear not.  Making lasting change is a skill not a trait, which means you can practice and improve.  Thus I’ve built behavior change skill development into my coaching program.

  • Emotional self-regulation

  • Growth mindset

  • And self-control


For those who want or need more, we can practice your behavior change skills directly.  Here again, we start with a short assessment.  Then based on that assessment, we can either modify your training and nutrition program, or we can work directly on building your behavior change skills.
